The role:?We are currently seeking?full-time Study Skills Lecturers who will work??in close collaboration with subject lecturers to develop and teach study skills within the curriculum across a range of HE programmes from Foundation to Masters’ Level?as part of our BSU, UoS and OBU partnerships.?This includes for example, improving English language and numeracy, organisational and presentation skills, digital literacy and basic IT skills, reading, writing and higher order research skills. Due to our delivery model, we require flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings and at weekends.

What you'll be doing:


	Designing/documenting bespoke courses, digital resources, workshop plans and individual schemes of work as required to develop study skills in the curricula
	Delivering/evaluating teaching and identifying areas for potential improvement to?enhance the quality of teaching, learning and overall student experience in accordance with the?GBS’s Learning and Teaching strategy
	Providing feedback on individual and class progress in their understanding of academic writing and other relevant study skills
	Providing?tutorial consultations with students, constructive comments individual to each student's need, explaining where work fails to meet assessment criteria and suggesting ways to improve their work / working practices
	Recording details from these appointments for statistical, evaluation and quality purposes, and to refer students to other services as appropriate
	Effectively engaging with VLE and research resources and facilitate students’ learning by means of engagement with online resources and activities.
	Contributing to?GBS?quality assurance systems and processes


About You:?


	You will hold a Master's degree in relevant subject area (PhD desirable)?
	You will have previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area
	You will have successful track record of teaching adult learners from diverse backgrounds on HE programmes
	You will have proven experience of providing individual and group study skills support in response to identified learning needs
	You will be willing to lead a specific area of literacy development, such as reading, writing, critical thinking, numeracy, digital skills, research skills (quantitative or qualitative), project and dissertation support, peer-assisted learning;
	You will be able to demonstrate a high level of digital literacy and advanced communication skills

The Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Vienna is the largest Austrian institution of mathematical research and tertiary education in the mathematical sciences. Your professional field of activity:

The position is part of the “Mathematics and Biosciences" research group, which is led by Prof. Joachim Hermisson. We are looking for an independent scientist interested in mathematical modeling in the areas of evolution, evolutionary ecology, quantitative genetics, and/or epidemiology. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of how to address relevant biological problems using analytical methods from the fields of differential equations and/or stochastic processes, as well as computational approaches and/or statistical methods of data analysis. Required Qualifications/Position Requirement:

About the ISVR and the University of Southampton

The ISVR has been at the forefront of sound and vibration research and education since its inception more than 60 years ago. The Institute has built an international reputation through pioneering academic research, strong and enduring collaborations with industry, and generations of graduates who have spread throughout the acoustics profession. The ISVR has excellent experimental facilities including anechoic and reverberation chambers, a 6-axis motion simulator and multiple audio focused laboratories. In addition, we are currently making substantial investments to refurbish our audio research and teaching facilities.?

About the Chemical & Biochemical Sciences Green Process Engineering (CBS)

The Chemical & Biochemical Sciences Green Process Engineering Department (CBS) is a component of the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P). The main objective of CBS is to set up a distinctive research-teaching program, of international level, to meet the research and teaching challenges of UM6P, in particular on green and environmental chemistry applied to all aspects of chemical sciences: organic and inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, chemical biology, biochemical and thermal reactions.

Research at CBS is organized around several major areas, which aim to answer challenging industrial questions, from complex chemical and biochemical reactions to scale-up and validation of process engineering. CBS projects aim at developing in-depth understanding of molecular mechanisms underlying all chemical transformations in order to propose original, and innovative alternatives promoting efficiency, environmental friendliness and sustainability.

Job Description

As a core component of UM6P, the CBS Department aspires to lead research and teaching at the forefront of innovation. Our scope encompasses green and environmental chemistry across diverse domains: organic and inorganic chemistry, polymer chemistry, analytical chemistry, chemical biology, chemical and biochemical processes, and thermal reactions. Research endeavors at CBS blend deep molecular insights with practical applications, aiming to introduce novel, efficient, and sustainable alternatives.

CBS is seeking a highly motivated and experienced postdoctoral researcher to join our faculty as an Assistant- Professor in Process Systems Engineering. The successful candidate will contribute to CBS's Department, and consequently UM6P's commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and innovation by engaging in cutting-edge research, delivering high-quality instruction, and actively participating in the development of innovative solutions in the fields of Process Systems Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

Research Excellence: Drive pioneering research in process systems engineering, with a focus on first principles and data-driven modeling, simulation and optimization with strong and permanent interactions with experiments. Integrate artificial intelligence (i.e. machine, deep and reinforcement learning…) to optimize efficiency, improve safety, reduce costs and promote sustainability. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to uncover a large variety of chemical and biochemical processes, and advance green and high-performance chemical transformations.

Teaching and Mentorship: Develop and deliver high-impact courses in chemical engineering, focusing on process systems engineering at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Employ innovative pedagogical approaches to foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and engineering skills in students.

Research Funding: Actively seek external funding opportunities to support research initiatives aligned with UM6P's mission. Lead collaborative efforts to prepare grant proposals, secure resources, and drive impactful research projects.

The??School of Basic & Biomedical Sciences?is seeking an Interim HR and Finance Manager to join the team. This post is available as a secondment or fixed term period up to 31st July 2026 in the first instance.

The School, based at Guy’s Campus, London Bridge, is home to academics and researchers who explore human health from the molecular mechanisms underlying disease to clinical trials and medical applications. We are part of the ?Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine, which has a broad spectrum of research interests spanning fundamental biology, disease, and physiology.

You will join a vibrant team of over 20 Professional Services staff who support all our academic activities.

About the role

The HR and Finance Manager is a pivotal role which offers the opportunity to provide operational leadership and strategic support across Human Resources and Finance within a vibrant, research-focused school.

In this role, you will work closely with the School Manager to oversee the full employment cycle of all types of staff from recruitment and onboarding to performance management, promotion and recognition and ensuring integration with research operations. You will support School Finance operations, with oversight of the School’s management accounts.

The post holder will be an integral member of the team, with direct line management responsibility for 4 members of the team and co-manage 4 others.
