Oxford University's Bodleian Library is publishing two titles to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the abolition of the slave trade. The Slave Trade: Contemporary Writings For and Against contains the views of pamphleteers on abolition in the 1780s and 1990s, while Memoirs of Captain Hugh Crow: The Life and Times of a Slave Trade Captain is a first-hand account of one of the last men to transport slaves across the Atlantic.
