Triesman calls for boycott of Oxford Union
The Association of University Teachers general secretary David Triesman has threatened to campaign for a worldwide boycott of the Oxford Union for inviting far-right historian David Irving to speak in a debate next week. Giving Mr Irving a platform was likely to inflame racial tensions in the run-up to a general election, Mr Triesman claimed.
