The Department of Trade and Industry is to help British universities develop research partnerships with firms and institutions in the United States. An event in California is being planned for May by the DTI for universities to show off some of the technologies and research they have developed or are working on. Imperial College, London and the universities of Nottingham, Oxford, Edinburgh and Queen's, Belfast are among those which have signed up.
