Death of Senegalese student draws inquiry
Senegalese president Abdoulaye Wade has called for an investigation into the death of a student in clashes with police during demonstrations against plans to raise tution fees. Student leaders said that the student, Balla Gaye, was shot and killed by police. But officials said the riot police were unarmed.
