Higher education league tables will move a step closer next week as institutions receive copies of a report on performance indicators. The report of the Performance Indicators Steering Group sets out the methodology underpinning the first higher education performance indicators, due for publication by early autumn.

Institutions will be able to check these figures before publication when they receive their own performance indicators next month. Proposed performance measures include participation of under-represented groups, student progression and learning outcomes.
