Leeds Metropolitan University has appointed Anne Gregory, director of the university's Centre for Public Relations Studies, pro vice-chancellor.
Professor Gregory, the UK's only full-time professor of public relations, was originally a broadcast journalist who spent ten years in public relations practice. She was in charge of public relations for Bradford & Bingley building society and was head of external relations at Bradford University.
