A university is swapping its carbon footprint for a digital one as it launches the UK's first online-only prospectus. The University of Hertfordshire prospectus is tailored for postgraduates and is set to save 7,200 kg of carbon dioxide and 16.2 tonnes of paper every year. It will also remove the cost of distribution, both in the UK and overseas, for the heavy prospectuses. The move is part of Hertfordshire's pledge to cut 20 per cent of its carbon footprint by 2012.
