Winchester University has appointed Joy Carter as its vice-chancellor, to begin work in April. Professor Carter, pro vice-chancellor of Glamorgan University, will succeed Paul Light, who is retiring.
Mary Fagan, Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire, has been appointed chancellor of the university.
