Central University of Haryana was established in 2009 under the Central Universities Act as part of India’s 11th Five Year Plan. It is located in the villages of Jant and Pali in the Mahendergarh district of Haryana, with a temporary transit office in Gurugram.

The university offers 86 academic programmes at undergraduate, postgraduate and research levels. It focuses on interdisciplinary learning, research, innovation and skill development. Students can study integrated courses across humanities, social sciences, science and technology. The university also provides specialised training and placement support to help graduates find jobs.

The campus covers 484 acres and has facilities including a central library and a Training and Placement Centre with a dedicated unit in Gurugram.
