The Instituto Superior de Ciências de Educa??o do Sumbe started in 1999 as part of the Cuanza Sul University Hub. It is now part of Katyavala Bwila University and is a key centre for teacher training and education in Angola, based in the city of Sumbe.
?It offers eight undergraduate degrees, such as psychology, mathematics and Portuguese language teaching, plus master’s programmes in preschool and primary education. Many of the teachers are highly qualified, with 18 holding doctorates and 26 holding master’s degrees.
The Instituto Superior de Ciências de Educa??o do Sumbe works not only on education but also on encouraging entrepreneurship, reducing poverty and sharing knowledge across Angola. Over 2,300 graduates work in education, and new doctoral programmes are being planned to boost research.

The DLE Research Services and Career Development is looking to fill the position of a Researcher Career Development Coordinator. In this role, you will advise researchers, particularly postdoctoral researchers, on career paths within and outside academia. The DLE Research Services and Career Development is a central service provider for researchers at the University of Vienna. It supports both young scientists and established researchers. Job Description

We seek a?motivated research software engineer (RSE) with solid technological and scientific background who combines expertise in software development and methodology with deep knowledge of one or more research fields. The overarching goal is to develop software packages and Galaxy tools to process mass spectrometry data for the identification and quantification of small molecules (e.g pesticides and other environmental pollutants) in biospecimen to understand the interactions of the environment and health as part of the newly established Environmental Exposure Assessment Research Infrastructure (EIRENE).

The EIRENE RI mission is to establish a?sustainable research infrastructure enabling the advancement of exposome research in Europe by bringing together complementary capacities available in the member states, harmonizing them and upgrading to address current scientific and societal challenges in the areas of chemical exposures and population health.

We emphasize on sustainable, long-term and open developments and rely on professional standards to obtain reproducible results. As part of our international and multidisciplinary team in the?Spectrometric Data Processing and Analysis?Research Infrastructure (RI), you will implement robust and well tested software (mostly R & Python) and contribute to open-source projects with respective methodologies (pull requests, code reviews, etc.). As an RSE, you will also focus on best practices, including documentation, licensing, archiving, version control and testing of research software, as well as (supporting) the development and maintenance of existing software and workflows.

The position offers time flexibility, a?high level of interdisciplinarity within fields of applied informatics, bioinformatics and analytical chemistry with a?vast potential for the development of your expertise. As being part of the RI, the position offers a?unique opportunity for long term engagement in the academic field and potential for international collaboration with other European RIs.

About the role

We are seeking to appoint a senior programme officer who can support the delivery of our highly successful online MSc in Public Health which annually recruits up to 100 students. You will join a programme team who are passionate and enthusiastic about public health and ensuring our students receive an excellent educational experience.

The purpose of the role is to provide administrative support and guidance across all programme delivery activity, including assessment, for online postgraduate taught programmes, in particular the Masters in Public Health, adhering to regulations and approved processes and procedures. The Applied Interactive Multimedia laboratory in the Division of Engineering, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a motivated research or postdoctoral associate to lead the design, development, and validation of material, control systems, and algorithms for next-generation soft haptic actuators and experiences. Note that the research involves significant interactions with collaborators in material science. The developed technologies will be utilized to develop digital twin and soft robot-assisted simulations in the areas of brain machine interaction, wearable haptics, and rehabilitation.

The successful applicant will have the following technical experience in:


	PhD degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Material Engineering (or related field) OR 3-5 years of industry experience (Research and Development).
