Klaipeda University is located in the Lithuanian port city of Klaip?da. It was formally founded in January 1991 by a decree of the Lithuanian Parliament and is the youngest university in Lithuania.
It offers 28 undergraduate programmes, 29 graduate programmes, eight pedagogical study programmes, 17 specialised courses for college and university graduates and 10 PhD study programme in a range of disciplines including natural sciences, humanities, marine engineering, marine biology, oceanography, pedagogy, social sciences, sports, Baltic sea history and archaeology among others.
