University of Rzeszow is based in the largest city in south-eastern Poland. It was formed in 2001 by the merger of the Rzeszow branch of Marie Curie-Sklodowska University, the Pedagogical University of Rzeszow and the Economics department of the Agricultural Academy of Krakow.
Its strategic vision for five years to 2030 emphasises locality, nationality, internationality, sustainability and inclusivity
There are faculties of education and philosophy, biology, nature protection and sustainable development, humanities, technology and life sciences, economics and finance, music, health sciences and psychology, law and administration, biotechnology, exact and technical sciences, philology, fine arts, social science, physical culture, and a medical school.
